#Review 3: Instant rescue for thin hair

Background: Few months ago, because of my terriblely hair fall, I used to use shampoo in which didn't have any sodium laurel sulphate or sodium laureate sulphate (SLS). Because these two surfactants are the most foamy and cut through grease fastest, but they are also very good at drying out the scalp and hair so much so that they can damage your lipid barrier and cause irritation. However, when using free SLS, my scalp became oilier, and looks straighter and thinner even though I had washed my hair one day before. So if you has the hair status like me or want to quickly refresh your hair, this paper is designed for you. Hope it helps!

Batiste Instant Hair Refresh Dry Shampoo Plus

Brand: Batiste has been the UK's no.1 Dry Shampoo brand for over 30 years. This dry shampoo has been well-known and popular in my country but this was my first dry shampoo because of my sensitive hair scalp so I try to avoid spray 'chemicals' if unneeded.

Price: around ₤6 at Superdrug (10% student discount)

Why chose this: I didn't initially aim to buy dry shampoo when going shopping. But this bottle label has some interesting keywords 'volume', 'plus', 'instant' so that it caught my eyes immediately. So I want to give it a shot. :)

The first impression: Quite disappointed. I have to say that. I haven't read any reviews before buying this volume one. In my first using time, it left my hair with white powder which was very salient on my black hair. Besides, it also made my hair root hard and difficult to brush. But, afterwards carefully read the instruction and go online to learn some tips of using it. It totally changed my first impession. I have solved all its flaws of the first time.

Some tips:

- Keep a 20-cm distant away from your hair scalp

- Move your hand while spraying in order to make the powder evenly spread in your hair root

- Can use as holding volume spray for curly hair

Verdict: 4.6/5

Repurchase: No. after this bottle I will try the orginial one which had higher review rate and buy in a smaller size to keep it in my luggage when travelling on my summer holiday. (400ml is too heavy for me when spraying, it made my arms tired).

Overall, I love the effect and efficency of this dry shampoo on my hair. I regret why I did not use them sooner.

P/S: Do not use it too many times and too much. A little goes a long way.
